A fifth-generation musician of the esteemed Jadubhatta family, his training began at the age of four under the vigilant guidance of his parents, Sri Dhrubadas Bhattacharya (a disciple of Subinoy Roy) and Ila Bhattacharya. His mastery spans across Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and Modern Bengali songs. With over 30 albums and a career as a leading playback singer for over 22 years, Monomoy is not just a performer but a torchbearer of musical heritage who never fails to touch the souls of his listeners.
